Bacon Wrapped Dates

This appetizer is easy to make and tastes great. There’s no way you will be able to eat just one of these salty and sweet bacon wrapped dates. Great to make these for a party because you can make them in advance and serve as an appetizer. This recipe makes 18 bacon wrapped dates.

Ingredients

  • 9 pieces of bacon cut in half (so you will have 18 pieces)
  • 18 pitted dates

Method

Step 1

Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2

Wrap a piece of bacon around each date. Place on a cookie sheet with the bacon seam facing down.

Step 3

Bake for 5 minutes, then turn dates over with tongs.

Step 4

Check the bacon again after 5 more minutes and turn them with tongs if you need to. Bake for 5 more minutes or until bacon is nice and crisp.

Step 5

Drain on a paper towel and serve. Add toothpicks to serve if you like.
