Crispy baked kale chips that are delicious and hard to stop eating (good thing kale is so good for you!). The key to this recipe is making sure your kale is dry after you wash it. Pat it dry with a paper towel or use a salad spinner to get it dry.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch kale
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Remove the leaves from the kale stems and tear them into bite size pieces. Wash thoroughly and pat the kale dry with a paper towel (try to get them as dry as you can). Place the kale on a baking sheet.
Step 3
Drizzle olive oil over kale and add salt. Mix it all up and make sure kale is spread on baking sheet evenly like this:
Be sure to taste a piece of the kale to make sure you have added enough salt.
Step 4
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. At the 10 minute mark, check the kale and carefully move the kale around with tongs (this is an important step). You want the edges to be slightly brown but not burnt. Bake for 5 more minutes.
